Courier and cargo services cannot carry certain items for safety and legal reasons. The exact rules depend on the destination, the service and the carrier, so always tell us what you are sending before booking.
Generally prohibited
- Explosives, fireworks, flammable liquids and gases, and other dangerous goods
- Weapons, ammunition and replicas
- Narcotics and illegal substances
- Currency, bullion and negotiable instruments
- Items prohibited by Indian law or the law of the destination country
Usually restricted
These may need special approval, packaging or documents — or may not be accepted for some routes:
- Medicines and medical supplies
- Food items, especially perishables
- Batteries and electronic items containing batteries
- Liquids, cosmetics and aerosols
- High-value items such as jewellery and precious metals
